i think eclipse for example would change on the 12th.... will it actually change? or should i not bother trying to get the rest of the XP i need? LOL

They haven't said anything about it not changing....It will be removed completely with the NGE though. I think it will change, but that's just speculation....if you'll still have time to get the phase quests and exit quest done in time...that's another story.
