Hi all,
I have been searching for some tips and tricks on how to win the crafting quest project? I have read the guides but they only draw the lines for how to complete it not what you needto do, to win:-)
Im looking for an EST on the amount of sith ressoruces that should be needed(I know this depends on my server) but just an overall feel for the amount? (not going for quality)
And are you able to keep track with the progress of other competitors during the phase?
And is the winner announced after the phase?
and basically any tips and tricks to win this proejct:-)

You will need at bare minimum150-200 units ofeach resource with stats of 500 or higher to win based on quality.
Andit would be best to do somesorting based on whichhigh stats each has. Read the info in the guidesabout thisfor whichstats are important and how many you need per item.

If you're going for quantity obviously a bit more that will depend on your competitors but at least you can keep track ofeveryone doing itby talking to the quest droid or npc. I only got the 5 use tool even though I won quite a few categories because I made a crucial mistake. You do not have to submit 1 of each item.
The best tip I can give is concentrate on a small number of categories that your resources excel in and dominate those, but DO NOT submit anything that has low results as this will pull down your average drastically.
For an example insome categories your experimented items may come out around 28% - 50% or so but another category due to the resources you will see the average that players submit can be pathetically low around 0.1% possibly so that will devastate your overall average.
Some items can be used as a subcomponent in a 2nd generation but I found the results of this a little erratic (possibly because I left it to thelast minute as always). But it did not always improve the stats in my limited experience.
Hope that ramble helps you a little.

I won this category wiht a sys response of about 102I think

Unit Computer (CN 50% PE 50%)
not sure on winning statI was 2nd with 83
Endrost Alloy (Quality: OQ 50% PE 50%, Toughness MA 33% UT 66%)
won with 555 roughly

I've never done much crafting but as I'm sure you know not all of the resources have all the stats for the final products so you can use the ones that do with good stats in those areas to further help your overall standings

Just a final clearafication question - the toolkit is first being rewarded at the end of the phase, right?

You do NOT get one just for completing. You only get one if you WIN. I posted the categories and rewards in a thread few months back.

Yes. And just for completing the quest YOU WILL get one. How many uses depends on the catagories others have mentioned in the thread already.
