I have already talked to the old man, and been jumped by the sith. I have been waiting over a week at the waypoint given to me after looting the sith. In fact it states investigate location discovered. Is this too long? Should I destroy the force crystal and wait again? Any answers?

the base should of spawned as you came up too it. Sounds bugged... I don't know if you should delete the crystal this far in tho, try /bug 'in it and see what a csr tells ya, if he says delete it you woulda had to wait for old man anyway..

there are the sith that jump you and they give you a data disk fir second camp you have to destroy...after that you need head to village so look in your inventory for a disk that you need to read/store wp

You aren't going to believe me...but try it. It worked for me.

Take a starship ride away from the location and back (to reset the waypoint). When you get back, head to the waypoint, and stopEXACTLY 72 meters away. Sit, and logout. You don't have to reboot the client, just logout, wait a few seconds and then log back in.

I swear it worked for me. I too spent a week and it didn't spawn, had multiple CSR tickets, and finally I came across the soloution on the boards by searching. I tried it with different lengths away, and it didn't work. Only with 72.

If it doesn't work, post here again and I'll see if I can find the original post - it may have been 73, but for some reason my mind is sticking to 72. I remember being shocked it worked. This was right after the publish, so my memory isn't perfect.

You begin to wonder:

There are a lot of bugs and also a lot of solutions to solve those bugs.

Are the guys at SOE too lazy to fix the bugs to avoid the problems?

Don't they know how to fix the bug and use a simple solution to kind of work around the bug (backdoor)

Or did they put the "bugs" in the game as part of the difficult part towards becoming a jedi and are they actually part of the whole game and should be called obstacles on the path to ultimate power.

I know. In this case, I can't believe a bug like this - that is SO gamebreaking if you don't know this hint - isn't either a) fixed, or b) offically documented.

I know someone who had the same problem a week or two ago, and before they talked to me they did the same thing I did - sent several CSR tickets. Just like I did, they got several different responses - the closest they came to the answer was "Logout and log back in".

First, it's a TERRIBLY odd bug - the 72m thing was pretty exact when I tested it. Just for the heck of it, before I did it correctly, I did try 71m and 73m - and it didn't work.

So yeah, it's embarassing that they can't/haven't fixed the bug, and it's embarassing they can't at least get the work around offically given to people with the issue.

I don't think it's an intentional gate - perhaps, though. You never know.

/bump

Wondering why players are so much more aware of bugs problems than "trained" CSR's are... customer service/support is still the biggest bug in this game, sad to say.
