i'm probably gonna get /smacked or /whacked or even /beatuo for this one.

I'm on Kauri trying to complete the survey quest for luck tree.

Been riding around on 4 diffrent planets for about 4 hours now trying to find an ore spwan at or over 50%, no luck.

(as an archi this is a big complaint of mine, but thats another post for another board)

Anyone thats completed this give me a hint, maybe a general planet, or resource they found?

Not asking for a direct WP (would be nice) but i do like to do things for myself, but after 4 or 5 hours i had to turn for help.

I asked some crafter friends for wps and always did the search where i saw harvesters placed

I found all the required resources withing 500m of the village. As a matter of fact the last two gemstone, then copper, I didn't even have to move. After I found the concentration of gemstone I had 3 types of copper availible for scaning, the first was a 10% concentration, so I just tried the next type of copper. Low and behold it was 75% right where I was standing.

Stay close to the village and if you have more than one type of resource that can be scanned, scan all of them and chase the one that has the highest initial concentration.

thanks for the advice, i was an idiot this morning, went to village with all my survey tools in the house.

Traveled home and found the first 4 resources right from my front steps, then came the ore :-(

but i shall go scan the village area again,

BTW when you get the quest, the guy says something about bringing the special resources back to him, or give them to a friend. Anyone know if theres something special if you go back to him with the "special" resources?

I'm gonna try, if anything i'll post

If you talk to him after you've found all the samples (by the way you dont have to actually sample to complete the step, you just need to be standing on a 50%+ concentration) he will give you a survey tool. This tool will allow you to survey just about every type of material...except wind energy I think. So it's an all in one tool.
