yes you need to complete one of the 4 available quests during that phase. Check the stickies above for information on phase change dates, and walkthrough's.

You need the novice box (50,000 FS experience). Each 'tree' costs 175 K + 250 K + 350 K + 450 K of FS experience for the four boxes in the tree. Force sensitive experience (FS xp) is 1/30th of your weapons experience. Thus the weapons and combat experience needed for 6 trees is roughly about 220 million. Welcome to the grind.
Under the stickies, then under the collected guides thread, is a link to a one page FS skills chart. That sheet is highly recommended, lets you keep track of what you have done, and still need to do, for the various phases. Some of the conversion numbers are off (after the recent nerfs) but it lets you see what your choices for FS skills are, depending on whether you want to use weapon, medical, scout, entertainer, or crafter experience to reach jedi.

Yes, but you'd have to split them up.
You could do the 4 branches of Combat Accuracy and then 2 branches of Reflexes. Both of those trees use weapon and combat XP.
The guides are your friend. Get to know them or you'll spend more time in the village than neccessary.
