This guide is an attempt to prevent the threads that get posted once an hour from players that think they are being original.
I think I have all the badges but I'm not glowing, what's wrong?
Well, what's wrong is that you obviously missed a badge. In the time it will take you to tell anyone here all the badges you have, you could have read the sticky message and figured it out yourself. So rather than bug anyone here about why you're not glowing, make sure you read the requirements for glowing in the sticky post. If you find it too painful to read down a third of the first page, then do this. Go grab all the POI badges, master bounty hunter, do a faction theme park, jabba, nym, warren and hero of tatooine. If you're still not glowing after that, then you havea legitimate reason to ask why you're not glowing.

It's been 20 minutes since I started glowing, I'm waiting at the starport in Coronet, where's the old man?
Do us all a favor, walk out of the big city you're in and play the game for a few days, I promise you that when you lease expect it, the old man will show up. Trust me, there is absolutely no rush to get the the village.

Old man came and vanished, what now?
He'll be back, be patient. Again, there is absolutely no rush to get to the village at all.

I looted the disk, but it doesn't seem to work, what now?
Two options that work:
1. Delete it, you will get attacked again. Usually within 20-30 minutes of deleting the disk.
2. Trade your broken disk to someone. Have them trade it back. It usually works, if not, see first option.

I went to the sith camp and there was no sith, what now?
I don't think this bug happens anymore, but the only thing I remember fixing it was to wait for server reboot. If that wasn't good enough, see previous problem, delete the disk that had the waypoint and you'll get attacked again.

I just got to the village, what do I do?
Well buddy, you're real lost. Start by reading the sticky FAQ because this idiot's guide won't help youto the extentyou need it.
When can a bounty hunter start coming after me?
Not until you are a padawan, this is after jedi initiate. You would be better off reading the jedi boards on visibility and all that to learn more on that whole part of the game. But for right now, while in the village getting to padawan, you have nothing to worry about.
When can I see the stats on crystals and krayt pearls?
This is a jedi thing, you are only force sensitive right now. Once you are in the padawan trials and finally craft a lightsaber and tune crystals, you'll get to see the stats.

How long are the phases?
About 3 weeks, not exactly 3 weeks.

I don't want to be a jedi, what trees should I unlock?
Well this statement doesn't come up too often, but make sure you know what you want, because you won't be able to drop the skills you learn, at least at the time this was written. Also make sure you have a good understanding of what the modifiers do. There's a huge consensus that most of the non combat mods won't really help masters. But the combat stuff can be pretty good depending on what you're doing.

I want to be a jedi, what columns do I learn?
Most people will say ranged defence, melee defence, melee accuracy and melee speed. The other 2 could be whatever you want since at this point in time ranged speed and ranged accuracy won't help jedi. That could change in the future.

What about free unlocks?
I'm not even going to go there, read the sticky FAQ.

What's the best way to get force xp for combat?
I can bet that there's about 4 posts on the main page right now debating this. I have my opinions, other players have their opinions. My opinion is grab a master melee, buffs, armor, good weaponsand some crates of grenades and go on a quenker rampage on dantooine. I also think that killing everything in your path is good. But here's a simple guidleline of what you can expect. A very good grinder can cap combat xp twice in one buff. This is done mostly with grenades and if you have comando 4/x/x/x you'll achieve this and possibly more. A good grinder caps weapons xp and gets 90k of combat xp per hour. Most grinders, after the first 5 hard core cap 3 times in one buff session will tell you that capping weapons xp once a day is enough. Bottom line is that its not really a race. You have to wait 3 weeks for the next phase anyway, so who cares how fast you do it.

What's the best way to get force xp for crafting?
Well there's a lot of opinions here. I think most players and guides will say that crafting vehicvles as master artisan is good. But I think you need to use more than that, merchant is nice because it will add xp without you doing much to get it. Consider merchant to be the C-12 equivalent for crafting xp. Persoanlly, I think the best method is to use doc 0/4/0/0, have a friend that you can repeatedly kill and rez at the village. you can cap med in less than a minute if you do this just right. In theory, you could train a whole column in a matter of hours using this method. You can also get master doc, or at least 0/2/4/0 and buff players at the village, depending on your meds and their BF, expect from 2k to 7k per set of buffs.

I just complete the mission for "X" in Phase "y" and I can't seem to take any more missions, why?
One mission per phase. Choose wisely.

Phase "x" has no columns I want, what should I do?
Play the game like there never was a village, or better yet, check the sticky FAQ, even if you don't want the column, the loot might be very cool to have.

I unlocked a column I wanted the loot for, but don't want to train it, did I mess up?
No, you could go through an unlock all the columns you want, just make sure you train in the columns you want. I plan to grab every loot item from the village myself. But i'm only going to train the skill boxes in the 6 trees I decided I needed for my jedi.

When do I get my free character slot?
After you complete the padawan trials you get your extra character slot.
After you complete the padawan trials you get your extra character slot.
Will my free character slot be the jedi?
No, for the millionth time, the character you take through the village is the jedi. You will not be able to surrender your jedi skills and face it, this is not a way to get a second character on the same server. If you really want 2 toons on your server, buy another account.

Can I make my free character a jedi?
For the love of god, yes. But read the jedi forums and see what jedi is before you decide you want 2 of the hardest things to play in this game.

I don't want to be a jedi anymore, how do I drop my skills?
You don't, at the time of this post you cannot drop down from padawan to a basic character anymore. If they change it in the future it will not be reflected in this post.

Is the village grind harder than the jedi grind?
God no, the village grind is a walk in the park. If you have the time to put in and go through it, you'll realize there's nothing hard at all about it. You kill things, that gives you xp, you trade it in, its simple. The hard thing is keeping up with it. I grinded like a madman for 3 weeks, an hour or two a day, if that, and got one full tree. My next tree is going to take me more like 5 weeks. If I didn't have four free unlocks, I bet my third tree would take six or more weeks, and beyond that I would probably hit initiate sometime next summer. The jedi grind is relentless. Be careful what you wish for.

I'm a complete moron and cannot seem to read anything that is not a reply toMY posts. Why aren't other players answering MY questions I posted in this forum?
The problem is probably due to the fact that your question has been asked so many times that nobody wants to even bother taking the time anymore to answer you. Or better, there could be 9other posts right on the from page that answer your questions.Read the FAQ or click the "logout" button. Your voice has been heard, but nobody cares about your problem.

i'll continue to edit and improve this if it somehow remains on the first page....

I went to the sith waypoint and there was nothing there. Based on my experience, and what I've read in the forum since you posted this FAQ, this clearly still happens. However, your suggestion of deleting the disk isn't feasible, since it disappears as soon as you use it to get the waypoint. I can't delete something that isn't there. I've been waiting for two days for a resolution on how to get out of this FS limbo with absolutely no response.
