Do I need to have done the Search and Destroy 1 first before I can start on this? And is it hard here in the CU

I'm not sure, but I don't think you have to do Search and Destry # 1 first.
If you want to solo this quest you have to be at around combatlevel 75. I did the first 6 missions solo at level 65 but then they adjusted the levels and when I went to do the 7th mission the Sith were level 75-77 and were impossable to solo. They killed me in three shots.I would think combatlevel 75-80 could solo it, if you can pull one Sith at a time.
If you're not at least level 75 you'll have to group with someone who is.
