ok first question is for my mallichae mission do i really have to be the one to destroy the crystals?

second question is what is the best profession for completing phase 4 (50 outlawas 25 thugs) and for the mallichae mission

No, you don't have to be the one to kill the crystals. We did this mission the other day and myself and another rifleman whacked the crystals from long range while the rest of the group (including the person whose mission it was) waited for us to finish.

As far as the crystals, I have heard of more bugged crystals from multiple people attacking the crystal and one being left up at 0 condition. If you attack them solo while others wait and pick off the aggro, there is a less likely chance of the crystals bugging. As far as professions, i have seen riflemen using the range to their advantage.
