Thread: 100% success to completing the Mellichae quest

I have had the same problems with the bugged power crystals, they just dont blow up. but theni read a few threads and compiled them together. it worked perfectly.
here is what its all about:
first either respec to rifleman or bring a rifleman with you (the 1st would be better i think). gather your friends but do not group with them. if your a rifleman you must solo, if not only group with the rifleman friend. use only your rifle to destroy the power crystals, no melee, no other ranged, only rifle. i used a lazer rifle for my crystals and used head shot cuz it was the one with the most dmg. tell your other friends that are near you but not in your group not to attack any of the crystals cuz theyll bug them. at this moment they are there for protection. if any of the siths gets agro and comes for you your friends should be ready (btw they are quite easy). after destroying all crystals (without agro'ing mellichae or daktar) form a group with your protector friends. i suggest killing Daktar first even if hes lvl 100 he goes down much easier and i think he heals mellichae (not sure though). you must at leats hit Mellichae once before he dies. if at any time you get killed, make sure a doc revives you before Mellichae is dead, otherwise youll not finish the quest.
so there you have it.

I'ld prefer they just fix the damn mission ... getting a group together is tough enough ... getting together a group that acutally listens and uses strategy ... that's asking way too much.

Thank you so much for putting this in one post. I fully agree and will be trying this tonight. I tried all yesterday to complete the mission and just couldn't, even after reading all the posts I could find about it. I sent everyone home and respeced to rifleman and was able to take out all the crystals just fine. I sure hope I can complete this tonight, as this is the strategy I will be useing as well. sure mate, everyone wants the bug fixed but i dont think anyone will wait for it (guess why? 
)
about the group and getting the group to use strategy; well lets say i am really lucky to have a guild with friends willing to help at all times. i thank you bro's.
