I have recently returned to swg after selling my 1st account, which was after 18 months a jedi knight. I left back then because i had run out of steam, and theer was zero content. Yet after only a few weeks of returning its is very clear that this games developers have become stale and lethargic.
I could state the many game bugs etc that i have encountered since returning, but the truth is, that its no the bugs that are the problem...its the attitudes. We are paying gamers who all love star wars, most of us are adults and would like to be treated as such. It seems that if there is a bug or a broken system in the game, the best we can hope for is for the eventual acceptence by a developer of the issue. we are never given an explanation, or a eta of when the issue will be resolved. Many of the gamers on MMOPG are hardcore gamers....they like to have objectives, so if something is broke...they would like to know if the problem will resolved in days/weeks/months/never....not just a dev post accepting that there is an issue!
I believe in all honesty that S.O.E needs to look at a new development team, i believe that currently the respect that should exist between gamer/dev is ZERO. It is not meant to be this way.....Star Wars is better than this....and I want better than this.....and i sure as Hell believe that Mr Lucas would want more than this. The game will always have issues, gamers will always get frustrated, but when communication is virtually non existant then its all for nothing.
I appreciate that this game is very complex and many people work very hard to make the game work. I thank the programmers that put there time and effort into making the game what it is.So a big Thank You, to you guys.
So c'mon S.O.E, help us out. A new developement team, maybe a lucas arts dev team. Maybe we could even vote on issues like what new features are green lighted...were adults we love to feel a part of something bigger. We culd even have a dev team that took on board some of the very good sugestions that have been made in these posts...or a dev team that told us ' sorry guys but we cant/wont do that'....the beauty of communication.
I feel like Princess Leia putting her holo message into R2 & hopin it finds its way to Obiwan.

if you are as "old" as you say you are, you would have known that the original dev team was replaced some time ago.
