If you master a profession that a holocron told you to master a long time ago, do you still get an unlock for it?

I ask because waaaaay back when, a holocron told me to master Carbineer to get closer to Jedi. I never did, in fact I cancelled shortly after that. I recently came back, and for some reason decided to master carbines. Then it occurred to me that it was a holo-profession back in the day. Now, I didn't even get a badge for it, and I didn't get a free unlock either. So I'm wondering two things.

1) Do you still get free unlocks if you stumble across one of your holo-professions?

2) If you do... Do you have to use your respecs to get credit for your mastered professions? Because I still have two free respecs.

No freeunlocks now. If you would have mastered that before publish 9 then you would have gotten a free unlock but since you didn't you are out of luck.

As far as badges, when the CU hit you didn't get the badges while you could still respect. Once the respec period ended you received your badges for the prof. that you currently had. I'm not really sure how it works now but probably similar.

I have an alt that was around well before pub 9. He did 2 holocron professions than I lost interest...in fact he did a few more professions after pub 9 do be a great bot at one time. The CU happened and I decided to actually go FS with him....repec'ed him to a fighter and then went glowy....then off to the village. I did get TWO free unlocks.

I believe the character has to be an older, established character (before pub 9) and his/her unlocks are still coded in...just buried. I read this somewhere on this board in fact, and that is how I knew my alt might be in line for unlocks.

When you are typing its easy to accidentally add the "t", respec is something you do not type very often.
