i know there will always be SOMEONE complaining about a change the devs made but, why did they have to make the village? before, you'd have to master just a few certain professions, and the holocrons would tell u which, but now its months of endless grinding and once you finally get jedi and your so happy that you made a big accomplishment.......... its another long boring grind, but now your excluded from seeing friends cause of visibility.... why??!!!

It doesn't have to be this way, but it's probably set up this way so that jedi will be rare and not flaunt their powers or light sabre.

It's set up this way so that there is a minimum amount of time before a person can become a Jedi. People were grinding out professions so fast in the previous method that they were unlocking faster than the current method.

Why ?
The village is great!
Do you not want content ?
It's not a race to become a Jedi.
It's only hard if you make it hard, play the game do the quests, have fun!

I honestly think they did it right in making it fricking hard to make jedi and especially the long road to knight. I'm at my end of the road for the village, about to begin on a new road starting padawan trials, and u know what? I grinded with weapons xp the entire 24 boxes. Do i feel like it sucked to grind? Yup, but i'm DAMN proud of my accomplishment. There are very few of us who have grinded the village from day 1 of the very first phase to this phase now and we're done. Its such a great feeling to get to this point. It shows tons of dedication, tons of determination and showing we can focus on one goal and stick to it until we're done. If you asked me if i thought the village grind was worth it, i would say You better believe it! They want to keep the population down, and thats a good thing. Folks like me and a couple others who did it from scratch, we deserve to give ourselvs a huge pat on the back and a huge sigh of relief and feelign of accomlishment. I think the way it is set up now is perfect.

The village for one is a great idea. The only bad thing is that they didn't bother to finish all of it and get the bugs out before making a publish. Which can be worse in someways then still having to grind proffessions to unlock. Like the current dillemma with doing two quests in phase 4, ranged speed and melee defense. This is a big problem. A little thing that bothers me is the lack of rewards for all quests. But overall the village is a great idea and I must say that some content is better than mindlessly picking proffessing and grinding them out. Hopefully the devs will eventually try and polish up the village, to make it a little more complete and bugfree.

actually its all about keeping people paying their subscriptions as long as possible
its all about grinding 2 days, then wait for 3 weeks, then do it again...and of course ppl do it (including me) for the longing to become a jedi is too strong maybe iono
but well we have got some content there and at least it didnt get worse than hologrinding was

making jedi is not hard.. its just a long w8.... in the old system i ground 24 professions most only tuck me 2 days... with the new system i can get enough xp to fill a column in 4 days of 4 hours a day grinding.. if we didnt have to w8 for 4 weeks for each phase id have jedi in a mater of weeks easy.... all that makes the jedi path hard is the amount of time it takes.... o and always beeing on the lookout for bounty hunters

Other reasons they did the village:
- The old system forced people to take professions they might not otherwise have wanted to do, this one lets you grind XP using the professions you like to use.
- Entertainers, crafters and non-combat had virtually no chance of getting holocrons short of paying SEVERAL million credits for ONE holocron, or being given them as the holiday gift by the Devs. So only elite combat people had any real chance of getting Jedi.
- The current system is so brain-numbing a grind that only really committed people will complete it to acheive Jedi. This helps discourage the immature players who simply want Jedi so they can be "uber" as these players tend to have less patience and want everything now. (I know there are exceptions to this, but most in my experience follow this paradigm).

lol before all of this village stuff i was seeing way less jedi, and also, i don't recall the path of the jedi being to kill 80 bajillion creatures! then get another lvl. why didn't they make it more in-depth and immersive? they just upped to grind, and it REALLY started going down hill when they gave the jedi robes to show off with
