Ifigured out why the old man takes so long to visit most people. The other night I flew into the Rebel Outpost on Rori to go combatant on one of my toons. As odd as it seems, The Old Man was standing inside the ticket building just staring at the starshp terminal. Three hours later I came back to the Rebel Outpost to go On Leave, went into the ticket building and The Old Man was STILL standing there staring at the starship terminal. After seeing this,I have concluded thatThe Old Man is stranded at the Rebel Outpost on Rori and obviously does not have JTL activated. Perhaps he is waiting for the 3-in-1 combo so he can grab the new BARC speeder.

old man stood at my guild's shuttleport droid for 4 straight days last month... apparantly someone had banned him and he was too lazy to walk back o_O

The old man shows up approximately 10 minutes after you log in to the game, if it's time for him to appear.
And by approx. 10 minutes I mean if you log in at 13:03:22 he will show up at 13:13:30. Log in at 15:05:51, he shows up at 15:15:30.
