Hey,
I dont see this answered here so here goes ---
I was grouped with a few people and had looted the necessary WP and Sheild deactivation disks.
Chose a base that we had the shield disk for and fought our way there.
Everytime I tried to use the shield deactivation it said 'there is too much interference to use it now' ..
any ideas on this?
It was definitely the right base, even tried killing all the wee robots around the base.
Any help is appreciated as I will be trying the quest again (
) tonight.
Cheers

My uninformed guess would be that maybe another group had already been there before and the base hadn't reset yet. I could be wrong.

My guess would be that you are at the wrong base. The WP's given in an older walkthrough are not necessarily the same WP's as the current phase as they tend to randomize. The bases themselves stay at the same WP's but the names change. There are mouse droids that wander outside the base (about 100-200m) that give the base name. If you are at the base that matches your shield remote, then it will be that the base has not reset since the last time it was killed. There is a 1 hour reset time on the bases.

thanks for that
must have been the base time reset. was definitely at the right base because of the droid
names matching the shield deactivator thingy..
thanks for all the help
I really hope I never have to do this quest ever again

You were probably at the right base. When I tried to use the device at the wrong base it gives some message about it being the wrong frequency. Not at all like the message you received. Hope that helps.

think it must have been regenerating the base as I m anaged to complete the mission last night with no problem.
(throwks small sausage rolls and party poppers at everyone).
Never ever ever doing that quest again.
Apart from sunday when I have favours to repay
Thanks for all your help

theres a respawn timer on the bases, once someone has cleared a base, about 6 hours need to pass before the next person/group do it
