Thread: Ranged Defense Quest Weak Signal??

Hello,
Im doing the ranged defense quests (where you use the radiaton sensor to find the camps) currently. When the last time around phased out for this, I had 3/8 done. When I went back this time, I cannot get the sesnor to work. All it ever says is 'weak signal'.
Ive destroyed it, talked to the NPC numerous times, driven around aimlessly...never changes.
Any ideas??

i have never done this quest so i can only guess, but here's my guess anyway:
i know that you can only do 3 per 24 hours of server up time. i presume that you are trying to do more than you are allowed. simply wait for 24 hours of server up time and then do another 3.

I havent done any yet, this phase. The 2 i have completed, are from the last time this phase was active.

If you did not complete it last go around then you "failed" the mission and need to retake the mission again this time around. Previous attempts should have been erased. When you talked to the NPC what did he say?

ah, well in that case, you failed the mission last phase 3 and you need to restart the quest this time around. you MUST complete the whole quest in the alotted phase or it resets. simply speak to the guy again and he should give you another tool to get it started

Ok, I've destroyed my old 'tool'. But on my map, theres still a waypoint for 'return to village, etc).
When I get a new tool, he gives the usual, 'oh ive seen youve lost yours, etc. and then tells me good luck with the Sith camps, etc.
I activate the tool, and get 'weak signal'.
Thats the problem

hmmmm, well i'm affraid i can't help anymore then. it may have helped if i'd done this quest but meh, i havent.
only last bit of advice would be to contact a CSR via writing a ticket. they should be a lot more helpful than any of us can be (well, in theory

Fixed it. Had to delete the old WP's. (i dont know WHY those effect anything now, but oh well)
