I finished my 6th tree this phase and waiting on the old man. Is the location of the Mel camp on the planet you are on at the time of the visit from the old man or is it random after you get the WP? Because if so I want to hang out on a planet with little or no houses to ensure my camp isn't bugged and inside a Player House.

Yep, wherever he manages to catch up with you. I've helped on a number of occassions where it's been near Coronet.

it's the same planet as the one the old man visits u, if he comes to u on talus Mellichae with be on talus
