If you unlock a tree and don't complete it in that phase, what happens? Do you get to complete it in the next same phase?

its just like a normal skill tree once you unlock it...you can train it up at your own pace.

wait, you're telling me that once I finish the quests to unlock a tree, I can train in those skills at any time regardless of what phase it is?
I never knew that, that makes things alot easier

This is correct. Another thing you can do is unlock the tree but instead of training as you go, bank all the FS XP until you're ready to train all 24 boxes at once. This way you don't have to slowly give up 24 skill points. You give them all up at once, then go straight to Old Man version 2, then Mellichae.

The cap is something like 5.1 millionper skill tree (Combat Prowess, Enhanced Reflexes,etc.)which is more than enough to cover all 16 boxes. I, on the other hand, trained the first box of each branchI unlocked, then banked the rest,just in case there was a bug. I did thisbecause if for some reason you unlock, but it won't let you train, the CSR's cannot fix this unless you are in that phase.
