All you need is what the quest giver tells you. Follow his dorections ,it is TOO easy bro.
Use the radiation device he gives you. It has "Instructions" on it also

The Ranged Defense quest for Phase 3, how many sith are there at each base to be destroyed. I start this quest tomorrow.

Not usually more than 5 I would say though. Whats your template?

Yeah it seems to be random. Last night i was doing the first part of that quest and there was only 1 sith at one of the bases.

same here, the most I encountered were 5 and the least 1, didnt seem to aggro the whole group either, only aggroed 2 at a time, so can easily be done with 1 person at lvl 80.
