Thread: If 2 people take the melee accuracy quest at separate times...

i thought that 1 has to take down the shield . the other one has to capture the commander.. all other people dont get the quest.. is that correct?
Correct. The others can have the quest, but they will not get credit. Best way is to get a full group and pair off in rounds. At least if this quest wasn't so insanely fubar at the molment as to be near laughable. 2hr spawn delay, turrets hitting for 500 every second, hitting after you die from a k away thru mountains, commander not running, no terrain negotiation,etc...

So what do people do who grouped but didn't take the quest at the same time? Is there a way to fail it and get reassigned, or is that one quest per phase going to prevent that?
Actually it does work...
2 people can take the quest singularly, then group up. One just has to do the shields, and one has to do the escort. I went ahead and tried it figuring if it didn't work I'd just get myself killed and reset it. there was no need as the turrets killed me and I failed my part of the mission anyway. heh.
It works fine without having to be grouped when you first take the mission. Now here is the real question for those that have done this already. I grouped up with a guy and we headed to base Epsilon since I had the code for it. We get there and promptly get wasted by the turrets. Ok I drive back and run up to it and drop the shields. Ok I get the message that I completed that part. Once again I am promptly killed by the turrets and can not clone now. Finally log out and log back in. As soon as I clone I get the message that I have failed my part and the only chance of completing the mission is for ME to capture the commander now.
Well I drive back to the base once more and waste the turrets. My team mate sticking to the original plan runs in and captures the commander. I immediately get the message that I fail and I can try again at another base. Ok that sucks. Well the commander is sticking to my team mate so I decide to follow back to the village as an escort. 3000 meters later we make it into the village. As soon as the commander poofs I get the message that I have completed my task and when I check my inventory I have both force crystals. Checking my quest log it says that the quest is complete and I can now train that skill.
So what gives with that?

You got very lucky, i read this happened to someone else and they did NOT complete the quest.
