i completed it yesterday and trained no prob..i have no clue why ppl seem to go back to the capt after getting the msg they completed the task, i went straight to noldan, trained and just got my visit from the old man as that was my last unlock.

as for reward i got a sculpture.

part 1 of 4 I got that too thought it was loot item lol

so people its confirmed DONT talk to the captain for your unlock go straight to Noldan

Actually, the problem occurs if you have already done a phase 4 quest from the Captain. So if this is your first phase 4, you won't be bugged. However, if you take the other quest NEXT time phase 4 rolls around (say you did ranged acc this time and take melee def next time), chances are you will be bugged and unable to unlock.

FYI people in village with me on there 1st unlock and doing both but all have talked to the captain before noldan and now have no unlock.

could be a bug around the corner for me then. they have some time to fix i hope

i completed the ranged speed last nite. spoke to the captain first, then noldan. no bug. i was just lucky, i guess.

lol i thought it was a loot item too, actually i never even looked in my inventory until i read your post and was like wth is that..lol then it hit me... doh! reward item..lol

I talked to Noldan, after I killed my last Pirate, and he wouldn't unlock jack for me. Went back to the Captain, and now he pretends he never met me.


So, your assumption that this bugs it is incorrect as I did not talk to the captain until after I could not train from Noldan.

Not true, this was my first phase 4 and I was bugged.
