Thread: old man/sith help

i got the crystal from the oldman


was then attacked by the sith and killed


went back to where they killed me and managed to kill the level 77 sith and got the waypoint but couldn't read it, the other sith was killed by the local wildlife


the old man then turned back up and gave me the force crystal again after i killed the sith.


my journal is showing i completed the sith missions but i can't read the waypad, will they turn back up?

yes they will come until you get one you can read

How did you get the old man to visit you ive been glowy for going on 3 days now running inside outside player towns shuttling around, walkin 1000m outside towns shooting mobs logging out repeating. Nothing is getting him to spawn for me

Not sure Elblanko. A friend of mine told me to just hang out away from town... not sure if you are far enough or not though.


Just curious, any idea on an average how long it takes from the time the old man gives you the crystal for the Sith guys to attack you?

The old man caught up with me at the imperial outpost on dantooine. I always fly in and out of there. I didnt do much traveling , except back and forth to bestine and dantooine. Took about 48 hrs.I always made a point to fly into the same starports everytime though..... good luck

Shuttle around. I got bored of waiting for him, so I decided to quest on Kashyyyk. He met me 5 steps away from Kashyyyk station.

I was also killed by the Sith.. why were they made so hard? D:

Are they CL 77? I'm CL 80 with Master Rifles and Master Smuggler. Oh, and x34x medic. I've been told I can walk it easy, but I'm not sure. I can only root for so long

Same thing is happening to me, unreadable waypoint datapads. One said I had to loot it before I could use it (while it was in my inventory) and the other said I was unable to use the information.

And I did meet the old man twice, and the first time was at Imperial Outpost on Dantooine. I've seen him appear there a couple of times.

My 55th Level TerasKasi Artist, beat them, quite easily. They were all below level 5, this was about 2-3 days into the CU, haven't heard anything from friends about super-sith, they were insanely easy with my non-80.

I read in the FAQ that if you get a data pad that says you have to loot it before you can use it, that you can use it by putting it in your backpack then back into your regular inventory. Might wanna try that.


I also got unreadable datapads. First I got a visit from the old man on Naboo the day after I got my last badge. The next day I logged back on, and waited on Lok for a while with no visit from the Sith. Decided then to meet a friend at Jabba's, so I launched into space and landed there, getting attacked by the Sith as I was loading. Several hours later, I got a visit from the old man outside Jabba'sand got a new crystal. Then the next day I got a visit from the Sith outside Jabba's. Killed them, got the waypoint pad, and everything went fine
