My wife had her visitfrom the old man, and as expected received the Force Crystal from him.

After he had left she attempted to "use" the crystal, nothing happened. Odd we thought and she checks her journal.

No update in journal, last step which is completed is the old man's visit. No mention of the Sith Ambush.

She logged, did complete file checks, relogged. She planet hopped, she shuttle hopped, each time attempting to use the crystal to open her journal to advance the quest. Nada. She tried putting it in her backpacks, no go, can't be done. She put it in her bank and tried to use it from there, nothing.

She submitted a ticket, was helped by a friendly CSR with different possibilities to try to "correct" the issue. All were tried to no avail. According to CSR we are to keep an eye on the "top ten issues" in the knowledge base and that development is working on the issue. Uhm, there is no mention of any situation similar to this in the knowledge base.

So, simply put. She is working to become FS and can not continue on with the quest after the old man has visited her because she won't get "ambushed" by the Sith since the crystal isn't opening her journal to advance that portion of the quest. Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, did you per chance figure out a work around to get this to advance, i.e. does destroying the crystal cause the old man to visit again and give the crystal a second time? Or is she fubared until this issue is fixed?

Sith wound up jumping her shortly after that. Heard from several others too that you shouldn't destroy the cyrstal, rather submit a ticket on it and wait it out. Good prep for Jedi anyways... that patience
