A possible workaround is to logout andback inreal quick (shift+ESC - Disconnect - Reconnect). We did my mission in a group of seven people (including three Jedi) and one of the Jedi got a little impatient towards the end and started attacking the 4th crystal (I had solo-killed the three other crystals just fine before with a T21 rifle). The 4th crystal got bugged because I didn't do it solo and it would not blow up so I remembered a post from this forum here where someone figured out how to solo the Mel mission by logging in and out (seems to interrupt the healing power of the crystals). The latter is quite obviously an exploit but I'm not feeling guilty about doing it in this situation. I brought a group, killed 3 crystals the regular way and the 4th crystals *should have* blown. The fight with Mel was too confusing to tell if the loggin in and out really made a difference or if we brought him down with brute force but it worked in the end. If you do not want to have to respawn your mission then I'd recommend the logout/login workaround .

The quick log and back in did not work for me. (it worked on for a friend 2 days earlier) Instead of just the broken crystal being gone, everything execpt the way point was gone.So after 4 bug reports (no response) and a CSR request (response - send in bug report and have a nice day), i finally talked to the right friend. He knew someone who knew someonewho knew a on line csr. I needed send a tell to the on line csr (dont expect a reply - they are very busy) and let him/her know that you are doing the mel quest. Do the quest up to the point where you get to the broken crystal. Send another tell to the csr and ask for help with the broken crystal. For me, the CSR warped in with in a couple of minutes (not sure what the standard response time is, but we have a very nice but busy csr that helped me out) and he destroyed the bad crystal. We then were able to finish off Mel and i have now started the pad trials. Hope they are able to help you.
