when the skill box has been unlocked does that mean i am now able to grind through that set of boxes or do you get a free skill box as such?

I've never seen a free FS skill box. There are free unlocks for those FS people pre-Publish 10, but that's about it.

if you unlock it that means u can trade in xp for force xp and do the grind they dont give it to you

the unlock means you can now put Force XP (that you earned through the trade in) into the boxes of the unlocked tree. In your case, you can now get trained in Melee defense (provided you have the Force XP).

Unless you were a holo-grinder from pre-Pub 10 there are no free boxes so every XP you gets is precious . . . spend it wisely.

Me I accidently bought survival 1 . . . and for a non scout . . . what a waste that was
