Force Sensitive Archive

This was a hard quest, the first time i did it it said i failed mission (because, i died before commander was caputred), but i left group and got reward. Even though it said i failed. I then went with another group, and after the shield went down, it said MISSION COMPLETE. Is this a known bugg???. It confused me and wastedl ike 5 hours of my ingame time (but i was watchin tv so who cares)
