Thread: What if it switches phases in the middle of one of my FS quests?

Howdy.
I started my quest for phase 2 todayand realized that my server is switching to phase 3 tommorow. It's the quest from Dageerin where he makes you wwait 24 hours... twice.
When it switces to phase 3 will I be able to complete his quest still and then do my phase 3 quest?

I would say no, but I don't really know if anyone has tested it. I certainly didn't because I wouldn't put it past SOE to "stick it to us"...

Im pretty sure you fail. And im also pretty sure SOE isnt "sticking it to us" by doing that, its your own fault if you dont finish in time you get 3 weeks

My own fault? Bleh. I just came back. I've been a way a month. I hope I don't fail. We'll see.

That's right. Your fault. It certainly isn't SOE's fault you have been away from the game or decided to start the Phase 2 quest the night before phase change. That is your doing. At least take some responsiblity for your own actions. SOE deserves some dirt thrown there way for most things, but certainly not this. To answer your question, yes, you will fail. This question gets asked frequently.

That's all I wanted to know. I never made any accusatory statements in my original post. And then people start saying "It's your own fault".. blah blah blah....

Unless they made changes......
If you don't completea quest before the phase changes you fail the quest.
There was a big uproar over this as like you said you are forced to wait 24 hours to be able to do the next part so if the phase changes during your wait well then your SOL.

from personal experience, you failt the quest. when i got the glow it was 2 days before a phase change (which i didnt realize) and i started the 8 base dageerin quest..... well i could obviously only complete 6...

Thread Hijack!
My stupid arse did the exact same thing. Started the mission 2 days before. Then I logged on the thirdday with my g/f and took his next quest without realizing the phase had changed. Although I did think it was sort of wierd thathementioned the3 week process and everything started over.
Anyway a few minutes after realizing what happened I was like crap! I already have Enhanced Reflexes: Ranged Defenses due to a free unlock.
My question is, can you quit a mission once you start it? Die or leave planet perhaps?

yes you fail it happened to me but my computer crashed and took four days to fix with i loged back in and went to the village the phase had shifted and i just redid the quest last week and compleated it now starsider is in phase 3
