Thread: A note about Glowy-Glitch (Sorry if this is posted elsewhere)

Just a heads about the Glowy thing, I did lose my glowy status..it did not seem to interfere with the usual progression of events. Ie: waiting for the second visit from the old man and starting the initiate trials. Im now halfway complete wth the initiate trials and less than impressed with the obscenely high load-lag times which is making doing some of the quests an excercise in frustration.

Will update when I hit padawan.

Grats on being done with the FS grind.

If you got glowy AFTER patch 24 (like me), then expect to wait a long time for the old man, if he comes at all. I've been sitting here for over 4 days and no sight of an old man yet.

Maybe I didnt explain clearly, if so I apologise..i cant sleep and am sick as a dog

Anyways, what I meant was I had completed my fs grind and just over a day later the old man came to visit. I was not glowy (due to whatever bug or change) but it has had no effect..why?

Because once you become initiate: you start glowing again. On a whim, while travelling from quest to quest, I checked on my state and it says im glowing and I had recently hit initiate.

As for the old man showing up, I had been sitting afk in my guild-city for awhile reading posts and lending a guildmate a hand. When I decided to running off to my house (i was standing near the shuttle) I noticed the old man yammering at me in the spatial tab. Luck of the draw I suppose, I hope he visits you soon..although Im not sure thats not being cruel :/

13 trials down, 3 to go

(edit: and once again I forget to clear up the issue: I was glowy before publish 24)

visual meant pre village old man

you meant post village old man

basically if you did not make glowly prepatch 24 you will be waiting and working hard till you get there (old man may or may not visit)

if you were glowly prepatch at the village you should have no issues if you dropped below glowly (old man will visit for exit quest)

also,I had lost glowy with the pub 24 patch as well. I became a jedi on 10/22, 4 days after the pub 24 patch. I still am only "surging" in the force even with my lightsaber being swung at stuff.

This thread is very useful guys, what's the average after you finish your fs quests for him to come? I've been waiting almost 24 hours now.

24 -72 hours

it has been longer on occasion but rarely shorter.
