I have started the force experimentation quest, I have managed to retrieve the broken components but when I walk over to the engineer workstation and I try to use the Recursive analyzer I keep getting a "Cannot see object you might have to move closer" message. But I can see the object very clearly. I tried using the other recursive analyzer in the tent. Same thing with everyone of them. I tried moving around, backing away standing on top of the tool still the same message.

Did anybody else encounter this problem and if you did how did you get around it? I did submit a ticket but...Hey don't laugh! Sometimes it works.

But still I could progress faster if someone could tell me how to get around that bug.

Happening to me as we speak.... this is ridiculous! Gonna try a ticket too

EDIT!! Go outside the tent... there is another set of tools out there and they work... at least they do for me... give it a try

Thank you for the tip. I tried the analyzer that was outside the tent but alas I did not manage to do everything on the first try so I went to get some more resources and today I went back to the village and guess what...

Same bug...and the tool ARE NO LONGER OUTSIDE THE TENT! Come on SoE get your act together how complicated is it to leave 2 functional tools outside a friggin' tent?

I came back to this game expecting it was better than when I left it a year ago. I am starting to get some serious doubts.

What server? It is possible you are now in Phase 2 and that is why those tools aren't there today....because if you ARE in Phase 2 you cannot do that quest you started until 12 weeks from now when we are in Phase I again.

Don't immediately assume it is a bug.

Well I'm on Eclipse, and the same thing is happening to me.

All my research on this forum suggests that there is *no way* to use the tools inside the hut, and the only waythat anyone can complete the quest is to get a CSR to put some tools outside the hut. Unfortunately, they don't stay there - I conclude that when the server restarts the 'moved' tools either disappear or move back inside.

I'll be raising another ticket when I get back from work... But if it doesn't get answered before Eclipse goes into Phase 2, perhaps on Saturday, I won't be able to finish it. What I really want to know is if I'll then be stuck with a broken quest until Phase 1 comes around again, unable to start any others...
