Hmmm,this could just be a case of bad luck on the loots. I killed a lot of Sith for disks to do this quest, it seemed to me that, on Gorath anyway, the drop ratio was about 1 waypoint disk to every 3 frequency disks. The loot table for the disks on your server might be borked but I'd farm some more disks first to make sure. Some peeps have been complaining about bases despawning on Dath and this could be related.

Try to get a team together and farm atleast 20 disks before you turn them in. If you still get nothing but waypoint disks I'd say it's a bug.

Another thing to keep in mind. You don't necessairy need the remote as long as your partner (if you have one) has it. The remote can also be used more than once so its quiet possible for you to go to the group who is currently doing the base and ask to purchase their remote when they are done with it.

I know that when I was done with mine, it still had 13 days of existance on it (darn that count down) so I basically gave it to another player who was looking for the remote, He was even nice enough to tip me for it

I think the remote can be used 3 times so you may have another way to get one. good luck

Some one told me that you could actually use it up to 3 times. That kinda makes sense as what happens if you get the commander all the way to the village and he kills himself right before he gets through the gate? You'd have to go get the remote all over again (which would be soooo messed up IMHO). Has anyone who as failed been able to re-use their remote?

All I can attest to is that the remote was still in my inv after I used it telling me it had 13 days left with a timer counting down.

If you are having hard luck finding the remotes, check the bazaar's. I found a bunch on my server for my alt. Picked up 6 and got lucky enough to have one within 2000m of the village. While attacking some of the Sith I would usually get one every 3 kills or so.
