lottery in a group means you should get a dialogue screen appear when the group loots something, asking you if you want to enter the lottery for it...click yes or no etc.

However the luck tree has no effect on this, it ONLY affects the ammount of credits you loot from NPC's. It does NOT affect, loot drops/crystal or pearl tunes/the random or lottery settings in groups or anything else, only credits.

Is that true that luck is only for credits? So I ahve no better chance of getting a better loot of an NPC? Holy crap waht a worthless tree....

The Devs have never fully explained it as far as I know. It could just be credits, or it could impact other stuff.

The thing is - let's say you kill a level 10 NPC. You get junk loot and a very small amount of credits. Then you kill a level 27, and you get a bit better loot, and more credits.

I sometimes wonder if the fact that Luck pulls from a higher credit count means it also dips into a better loot pool - not that you'd get anything level 90ish from a level 20 NPC, let's be real, but perhaps you have slightly better odds at getting something on the "high" level of the loot drop tables for the NPC you're fighting.

There is no documentation that says the Luck skill affects loot. If you took the FS skill hoping for better loot then you might be very disappointed. The only thing the Devs ever said Luck affected outright is credits. If it affects anything else no one knows and the Devs never said it. Luck affecting loot is nothing but a rumor that people have been spreading for awhile now.

Some people say luck is only for credits some say it is for items as well in all seriousness I don't think anyone knows for sure since the Devs never stated what it did exactly. And the description for the skill only tells you "you seem to have no end with luck" or somethng like that

There was a Post back long ago POST-CU where we actually had a response stating that Luck affected Credit drops nothing more. I have been trying to find that post, but have not had luck yet. I remember posting in that thread as well as I at first thought it affected everything. From what I have seen from that time till now, it only affects credits. I have better luck with loot drops than my friends who have luck +4. They loot a hell of a lot more credits than I do though.......From the same mobs.
