Hmm didn't they say that they wanted the players to feel like they were actually taking part in the Star Wars universe with the combat upgrade? Funny but I don't reemeber any Star Wars hero in any of the films, books or comics ever having to kill 99 BILLION BOLS TO BECOME A JEDI!!!!

Cybris, you don't have to do that at all to become Jedi. This game and the experiences are what you make of them. It was your choice to embark upon the path to Jedi, and it is also your choice to "grind" out Jedi as opposed to just enjoying the game and capping out when you can. Sure someone can go around and grind out bols all day long to get that one more cap that they need for Force Sensitive, or they can try to enjoy the game and take things in stride... the "Star Wars feel" that people want. This game is what you make it to be.

I'd love to have to just defend myself when going through the wild from one mission quest to the other (or doing things for my factions) instead of basing my life around critter hunting.

that's not entirely accurate cybris. If you recall way back in the pre-ep I days there was a jedi from the old republic named Critnis Hutransk who had to pass a small jedi trial by killing 391 Bols. Oh how about Master Jurtinal who designed the Bol despense list on the planet Kilon. Or the Bol salvage mission from the Sith apprentice Neermo (who incidently died as a result of not having Force rejuvination 2).
i think they are trying to reimpliment the Bol craze. Revive an old but forgotten Force custom.
