Ok, Last two times it hit phase III, only thing I heard people got were the aquamarine crystals. I am wondering if the colors changed this time around.

Hey Ganis,
Great question, I'll be able to answer this for you tomorrow if no one else has since then. You are correct that the previous two instances of Phase 3 gave the teal color crystal named "Sunrider's Destiny," but there are conditions to that reward.
The Phase 3 Melee Accuracy quest is very unique, and a bit complicated, in terms of how many people can do it. Only 2 people can get credit for the unlock on one quest, but they can bring as much help as they want. In order for both unlockers to get credit:
1. One guy uses a base shield remote to lower the shields of a base.
2. The other guy captures the commander after the 5 thugs are killed and leads said commander back to Aurillia.
*IF* two distinct unlockers fill these separate rolls, BOTH of them get BOTH reward crystals (total of 4 crystals paid out, two per unlocker). One is the Mind stat focus crystal, the other is Sunrider's Destiny. Crystals are deposited to the participants' respective inventories at quest completion, which is defined as "when the commander despawns after being led back to the Captain."
If only one unlocker fills both rolls, he gets only the one focus crystal.
I hope this helps you out. As an aside, please follow the links in my signature if you're leaving the game because of CU or if you're against it.
Cheers bro.

Fame, glad you stopped by. Long time no flame, heh!
/beatDeadHorse;
Listen, I have a confession to make! I recently started grinding rifleman after less recently mastering Commando, and I'm a dirty hipocrite. I used thermals to grind rifles 0004 super-fast so I could have swizzy rifle speed right off the bat.
heh heh just thought you'd get a kick out of that. Like I said, I don't fault the players that do it, I fault the devs that make it possible.

Later man, thanks for the info that this phase is also yielding the teal Sunrider's Destiny crystal. I had a feeling it would...

three words come to mind.... tut tut tut
I dont blame you to be fair, i will do the same when i go back to master rifles before the CU. nading is the way forward for combat xp. i knew you'd crumble under my expert debating skills
not a problem on the info, just doing my job as resident fountain of knowledge. and as for everyone who says this quest is really hard, LIES!!! it's really easy with a bit of planning and a decent swordsman with you (presume this could be any decent damage prof), oh and a pet (any pet will do)

*cough*bullspit*coughcough*
lol
meh, the nade grind is definitely easier. That's actually what I don't like about it. Whatever, we're done with that whole thing.
Ok, regarding the quest: I maintain that it *is* hard. It's the hardest of the village unlocks by far. That's not to say that it's impossible at all, just that it definitely requires attention and focus on the part of the unlocker; it's not like the vehicle control or ranged defense unlocks that you can just bull-charge your way through and be done in no time.
I've completed this quest over 20 times (I ran a service on Bloodfin last P3 for a nominal fee) and having read your allusion to a method involving pets, I'm very interested in your strategy. I'll be posting a complete guide to this quest sometime soon; that's certainly not to say that my way is the only way or even the best way, but that it *works.* Tried and true, dig? I'll definitely be accepting user input though.
And to anyone who hasn't done it, best of luck. Do your homework, and most importantly: know your enemy. Watch those thugs, how they behave, how they move. When and where they spawn. What they *do* while they're there. You must think like a hunter for this one, especially if you're trying to go it alone.
I'm not saying it can't be done or even that it shouldn't be attempted, but anyone who solos this quest gets a /salute. It's an accomplishment, just like soloing a vette mission. Sure, plenty of people have done it, but most haven't / can't, so kudos to anyone who does.

the guy who helped me (the swordy) solo'd it last phase 3, so it was useful having him along for the ride.
as for the pet thing, it is very useful in many situations, such as this quest and pulling elders from NS spawns to get about 30 elders per spawn
simply target the enemy you want to fight in the group and send you pet in from about 100m away. it is best to have a low level pet for this cuz they have less HAM (i know this makes no sense but just wait). once the pet gets to your target he will aggro it and die (low level pets die faster). the target will then automatically aggro onto the owner of the pet and run from the group to come and get you, without bringing its 10 beefy mates with it (this is a VERY VERY good method of elder hunting, but must be done on random spawns not the caves). you and whoever you're with then kill the target, rinse and repeat.
this method is simply known as pet pulling (my swordy mate wrote a guide on the forums to pet pulling) and can be very effective if done properly and correctly and will often save your ass from taking a beating. i also feel i could write a very useful guide to this quest (and find the one in the stickies to be a bit crap), but i will leave it to you cuz i'm lazy
Let me know when you have a finished version and i will take a look and see if i can add anything
Let me know if there is anything you dont understand about this method and i will try to explain it better and let me know if you think i missed something out of it (or if you tried this and it didnt work)
