Well, you can only unlock one branch per phase, so I would have thought that to complete the quest (and get the rewards) you need to actually unlock that branch which of course you cannot do if you are doing or have done a different quest in the same phase.

yeah i wasnt to sure on it, cause it just says if you are grouped you get the crystals, so i was wondering if anyone has tried this and if the results were good 
dont know if it specifies group members unlocking the branch or just group members

Hi there mate
You can only unlock ONE mission per phase.
The Melee Accuracy quest is kind of different from the others. You can get a partner and do it together.
Basically it means that you will take down the shields, and your mate will capture the captain.
Since you already have done your quest in this phase, you can't and will not get ay rewards as you haven't
