Thread: Village attacks... are they SOE coders so lacking in skills that....

they do not take into account the number of defenders in the village when the sith spawn.
Day 1... many many people defending easy as pie to live thugs out gunned 3-4 to 1
lastnight.. 20 or so in village... everyone died we had 3 or 4 doc's trying to revive, after the 6th revive and with 3 thugs chasing and others hitting me with ranged weapons.. i died
... and the attacks will continue for the whole phase...
so if i had not finished this quest the first day, i would have little hope of doing so now
this is what i would call gump level 9/10 coding... they take no account of the numbers inside the village area and spawn a fixed number...
Yes they should take into account how many are doing the quest at that time to determine how many sith spawn.
However how would u propose let's say that a person logs in at the village at reset who is a doc. He buffs himself takes the quest and for the most part is maybe the only one doing it. Spawn comes with a reduced amount of sith as he's the only one doing the quest. Then 5-10 more show up pick up the quest and join the fight. Does the Spawn all of a sudden increase? Or do they get the benefit of a lower spawn?
It doesn't mean that if you didn't get it done the first day it can't be done. Just means that you will have to get a well suited group together. The ones who don't need the kills deal with the thugs while those who do concentrate on the outlaws and the pirates.
I would say for the most part to get this quest done as soon as possible.

last time i did that inside a hut and was dead before i could react
They could count the number of players inside the village and set spawn numbers using that numbers.
Could work but then again what if those people don't help or are just there to convert XP? You still could be outnumbered.
They could recount the players numbers while the attack continues and re_asses the spawn rate
Same as above. If the spawn count is low and about 5-8 people are doing it and here comes 15-17 people to convert XP you are doomed.
They could do alot of things... if they had the iq
lastnight was my 6th wave of attacks while i was @ the village helping out, what i noticed was the sith seem to be hitting me alot harder, 1st wave the thugs were not doing much damage @ all, it was hard to find poeple with low health and with wounds... last wave was nasty my health was taking a huge hit. looking @ the group, others were losing health real fast.. have no idea y

its nice to see rational thinking besides thost thoughts coming from me. meanwhile, spineless 1 star morons are not even reading what you have to say, not even offering a rebutal, and just applying the roxor-go-pwnage power by clicking the 1star. i made the same statements about 3 days ago, b/c i was able to have foresight as to what will happen in the later periods of this phase.... and yes... like you, no one comes and refutes, no one comes and makes intelligent conversation, just a whole bunch of 1 star spineless morons. anyway, we are now starting to see the those people coming on and talking about the difficulties, so in a sense, i/ we were wrong, it's happening much faster than i had imagined. anyway sqwert, nice points, and totally agree.
