Thread: How do I redeem my freebie?

How many holocron professions do you need to do to get a freebie? I thought I had enough to get one but the rodian doesn't give it up?
There were 8 secret professions (not holo professions) that were were to be mastered. If you havn't mastered any of the 8 secret professions before publish 10. Then you wouldn't qualify for a free unlock.

There weren't 8 silent professions. The holocrons told you four professions, and, by the time the revamp came, the number of silent professions had been increased to four, bringing the total professions you needed to master in order to unlock jedi to eight. If you got any unlocks in the village (and please people, stop calling them "free", because those who got them worked for them), then it's because you happened to master at least one of your professions.

Two things,
I never said 8 silent professions. I will quote myself, "There were 8 secret professions". I think you misread my post, please check ![]()
Second, I was informed of this by a customer service rep in response to a ticket that I submited for the same exact same question. Not to mention explaining to them that there was an advance guide on this official web site that stated that 6 secret professions needed to be mastered. I was only informed of the 8 after the fact that I had inquired about it.
Although, if you do know of any documentation that proves otherwise. I would love, love, love *wink* to see it. Reason, I don't like getting incorrect information from customer service at anytime. Know what I mean? ![]()
However, asa show of my good faith in all humanity and species players out there. I was able to find... this,

Perhaps you could advise me, as my situation seems to be somewhat funny. I started this game and finally learned enough about the hologrind right before pub 9 came out. Thus, I never got a holo and had no idea what profs to take up. I started with medic and then worked on pistols. I finished that then mastered doctor. At that point I learned all about the holos. I then just started to guess profs, well, more like grinding the ones I was interested in. At any rate, if you need 5 profs, and 8 silent profs (if I read that right of course), how in the world did I get 2 free unlocks if I only mastered a total of 8 profs prior to pub 10 being released? The only answer I can think of I was very lucky. Could anyone please explain? Keep in mind this is not a complaint, was just wondering was all. Thanks in advance.

(giggle), looks like you were in the same situation that I was in when I started playing. No information, no help, and no hope for the future. Not to mention "No deposite, no return". Usually means that you have the greese someones wheels in order to get something. ![]()
However, I didn't a search and you might want to take a look at this message someone posted.

Hopefully it will answer the questions that you are seeking, and don't worry I know that you aren't complaning because I had the same questions just outside of a month ago.
However, my advice is that if you don't have any unlocks. It's no biggie. I'm actually having fun just going through the missions. Even though that the way the are arranged seems to be the work of people who usually reside in rubber rooms.
A lot of people seem to be in a hurry to make it to Jedi. Not me though, I find that experience is often the best teacher and rushing things just make you that much more inexperienced. ![]()
Do your best!, and may the force be with you.
UPDATE:
LOL - Here is an update. I wanted to check to see if the documentation that they had on the offical site was still incorrect. It looks like they finaly updated it. The following link is for the advance guide to Jedi. It also explanes the old system and way of reaching Jedi and how players are credited for holo grinding before publish 10.

I am feeling a bit robbed myself. I unlocked nearly a year ago on holo prof's and now I didn't get a single free unlock on that character when I worked him up to force sensitive.
