Direct Quote from the end of the Padawan trials section:
"When you finish the 16th trial you become a Jedi Padawan, get the Robe and unlock your second character slot (who is a completely new character with no abilities)."
Your existing character is the jedi, you unlock the second slot when your main becomes a Jedi Padawan. The new character is a completely new character, equivalent to you buying a new account and creating a brand new character (with the exception that you can't use them to unlock yet another slot). You can turn the new character into a jedi by going through the FS process again (which is completely insane).
I guess I was confused because wasn't it the opposite way before the changes?
(I thought the original way was your unlocked FS slot became the Jedi)
So, now you're FORCED (no pun) to make your exsisting toon the Jedi!??
I don't like that. My original toon is Bothan, and I kinda wanted a human Jedi.
Guess it's safe to say we won't be seeing any Ithorian or Sullistan Jedi any time soon, or EVER.

I'm sure I missed something somewhere. I read through this twice. I have threequestions still:
1)Why is it that you can train for survival and not use your scouting xp in exchange for FS xp?
2)I can only use my med xp in the heightened senses?
3)What is the rationalization forwhich xp can be used for which box?
You seem to be in the know of many things. Perhaps these questions have no answer. Thought I'd check.
I find it most annoying thatbecause I chose to master certain professions at this stage of the game (after many months of playing and paying for my account) that I can't usethe xp for whicheverunlock I choose.I mean, who knewhow this would be arranged? I'm almost at the point of saying to heck with it all and SWG.
Thanks for your time. Anyone who cares to flame feel free.
Scout is one of several professions with this problem. The xp earned in the profession count toward a force-sensitive tree that can't be unlocked by members of that profession. Others with the same problem are Ranger (essentially the same problem as scout), bioengineer, creature handler, and the entertainer professions. I'm sure there must be one or two others.
In my opinion, those who earn FS-XP in a given tree by their master profession should be able to do the quest to unlock that tree.
The solution is either to move the exchanged xp to the trees that can be unlocked by the master of that profession or to provide quests to unlock the trees that use that type of xp. If the second option is chosen, then the tree should contain enhancements that are useful to the profession in question.
You just get the reward. Note that you can't redo a quest once you have completed it the natural way (by doing the quest itself, not holo-unlocks). Here's part of the CSR response when I submitted a ticket about this problem, which I feel was very helpful and informative: "You cannot do the same mission over in a different phase. There may be a continuation of the quest with a different NPC, but you will not be able to do the same quest once it has been completed or the phase changes."
