Thread: Special Color Crystals
That is a generic CSR reply. I got it when I asked for the location of my crashed ship in the "Vehicle Control" Quest, back when it was first bugged. Nice to know they still use the same generic responces months later. /rollseyes
My money is on that the Colour crystal in the Melee Acc. quest IS meant to change each time it comes round, but it's bugged and the Devs either can't be bothered to fix it or are gunna be too embarrased to admit they made another c0ck up.

I'm willing to bet the one called Quintessence of the Force is white. Cause the word quintessence means something like pure and perfect form.
you need to do the quests more than once.
i.e. on your second time you will get a different crystal.
i have sunriders destiny (as u all probally have)
i hear for the second time ont his mission it's maul's revenge (which is black?)
not sur eif its true or not i have heard ppl did it a second time and got another sunriders.
if anyone can shed some light would be good

Ok, I'll reply to this thread about this issue, too. It's popped up a number of times on the FS forums.
First of all, the blue text is sorta correct, I think. They WERE meant to shift colors with each Phase 3 of the Village. I do believe (and some of you TC Jedi, let me know or back me up) that this is how the Village functioned on TC before it went Live. A different color in each Phase 3.
Well, some wise Jedi pointed out to the Devs that it would take over 4 years to get all those crystals in the game, at a rate of 1 specific color per Phase 3 of the Village (with 3 weeks per phase/9 weeks between Phase 3's).
In other words, it would take over 4 years to FINALLY see the very last color just become available in the game at all.
So, I'm betting that they decided Sunrider's Destiny will be THE crystal handed out by Phase 3 Melee Accuracy. Either that, or it broke upon going Live under some mysterious circumstances, and based on feedback, they just never bothered to fix it - rather, they're waiting to implement a far more interesting way to obtain the special color crystals (Jedi quests, crystal cave themepark that's instanced, etc.). At least some way of having a chance to get them, shy of waiting 4 years to have the entire collection finally available in the game. It's almost like they decided on the "new color each phase" before they decided to make 4 phases, each lasting 3 weeks. That's when it became ridiculous to trickle these crystals out overa span of 4 years.
As to the CSR's comments - yes, they ARE in the game. In .tre files. With a ton of other "in-game" stuff in the .tre files that is completely unobtainable. It's "in the game" but not possible to get in the game. That is to say, if they put that much thought in their response, which I doubt they did. They probably just misunderstood you and managed to randomly make a Dev-like response to a sincere question by answering with a "half-true" statement without further clarifying.

This would all have been solved with the SMALLEST attempt at fixing the code to fit with the final vision of the Village. How?
Melee Accuracy Phase 3 quest gives you - *drum roll* - a RANDOM COLOR CRYSTAL!
That's right, for the sake of saving the time to throw in a randomizer to select one of all the colors, instead they just made it Sunrider's Destiny. Future release of more colors to be determined.
I feel almost positive that this is exactly how all this played out.

Nope - I do believe you receive Village rewards ONCE. And only ONCE. You can redo the quests all you like, but will receive no further rewards, except an unlock (and thus reward you never got) from a branch you'd never unlocked.

Phase 3 came back around a second time, no one got anything but Sunrider's Destiny. Confirmed all over in the FS forums.
if anyone can shed some light would be good
