Thread: Devs/csr's need to just start giving ppl with the phase 4 problem a free unlock

Please dont stretch reality too far. I dont believe many people on their last FS box will throw away months of work just cos they have to wait a few more days, not unless they have the maturity of a feotus anyway.
Fixing the problem requires a reboot and some downtime, the devs have to be sure the fix will work otherwise they inconvience the whole player
base for no gain. Consider this for every FS guy who has this problem there are probably another 5-10 who dont and will have to suffer not getting service for an hour or so.
Chill the hell out guys it will be fixed, give em time, do RL stuff, or shock horror play the game and experience life outside the grind
This is the eighth total phase of the village so for those that were in it day one it is highly likely a lot of people are on their last phase

All that anger, all that hate, I pity you, you gonna die of a heart attack or something if you get that stressed over something so trivial. It is a game dude
I mean if the game was really unplayable like when the warping was happening you might have a point. As for information you have information, they are
working on a fix, what more information do you want, an hour by hour posting of
1am, we are working on a fix guys.
2am. I am really sorry but we are working on a fix, we will get it to you as soon as possible.
3am, Just me again, we think we know what the problem is now and will be providing a fix just as soon as we can.
4am, Hey this is Pete, Bob just went out to order in Pizza but he said that we really will have a fix fairly soon now.
......
I know software support, I could write a cron job to generate hourly updates for SOE if the player base wanted them, it wouldnt get the bug fixed one
minute sooner I can assure you.

No but we want to know more...several days ago we heard "they are looking into reports of quest issues"
That isnt even acknowledgement of the problem
LOL damn dude you make it sound like they were on the Titanic or something.

I actually feel quite guilty that I was able to accept that mission and get my Padawan.
So many others couldn't, and it almost doesn't feel right that for some reason I lucked out.
My heart is with all of you who are getting screwed by this right now. I really hope that before Phase 4 shifts, they at least let you folks who are stuck get the mission from Sarguillo and have a chance to complete it.
Maybe think of it as a real life Jedi Trial of patience. It's not fair you're put through this, but I will tell every one of you who are stuck right now that it is SO worth it when you first fire up that lightsaber. You won't do much damage, and you can't wear armor, but by gosh you at least have a freakin' lightsaber.
May the Force be with you all.

Oh Oh! I was on the Titanic... eh errr... yeah I've had too much time to post with this bugged quest. Still not much word on it, and I appear to be the only optimistic one in my guild (we're all making bets now). Guess we'll see how it goes.

The Dev's have CHOSEN not to communicate, they know about this. Their lack of any sort of communication is by CHOICE.
They need to end the frustration.

Devs know of the problem, they have written it in patch notes, started a focus thread, and done more than enought to let us know that they are working on it. Have you ever thought that it might take a while to find that little thing in the system, that might cause this?
I think the poster you are referring to is talking about the dev forums. Numerous users have posted their phase 4 problems -- the devs have ignored them. They choose to answer every other bug problem instead. It doesn't take too much to hit reply and say, "we're working on a fix" OR "sorry, you're SOL. Better luck next time."

Not reading the forums doesn't mean they can't communicate on the issue, they received enough bug reports to know that frustration is at its peak. There is no information apart from telling us there is a bug, well big News, we already know that. So if you're not affected by this phase 4 just keep quiet and don't come into a thread that talks about it, just to do your boy scout and flame those who are truly annoyed with this.

Well you obviosly want to be offensive andwe cansee how dumb you are...
Look at the date and time these threads were started and the date anbd time of the CSR thread. Same time.
People do not read the CSR threads that much and to rally people to open tickets do /bug the first place they will come is here
Now tell me exactly how the CSR's can let us know about develoment priorities and status
Read the patch notes. They state "they are looking into reports of a problem" Not acknowledgement of the bug nor a status of a fix.
If you must know and since you want to assume so much the Jedi Correspondant has been PM'd with all these thread URL's to send to the dev's in the correspondents forum
If you are foing to be insulting maybe you should read the entire thread or at least ask about it

Yeah sure...
But it starts to bug me, that I need to scroll past 4 or more posts about the same issue, before I come to something usefull.
BTW, I am affected by this as much as you are, so yes I am mad, but I think that starting several posts about the exact same thing is unnessesery. One large post is more that enought to get their attention. I dont mind posting several post, but thre is no point in posting several of them on each board. One on FS and annother on tech or another one... And the other once ![]()
Sorry if I seemed offensive, was not my intention.
