Let me tell you this isa great post and compolation of material that was presented on other post in these forums. There are of cource some flaws but that is what happens when you deal with the idea of live vr. test. But we can all live with getting skills we dont want or we can wait for the phase to come back around.
Take care all and once again great post!!!

Two things.
First, you are NOT stuck with your "normal" skills once you become Padawan.. That is, you DO gain XP based on the ATTACK you make (1h for 1h attacks, unarmed for unarmed attacks, etc). You CAN train other skills (and change your template around).. NOTE: I have NOT tried this with my Jedi, but there were posts about how the "normal" trainers were trying to train Jedi skills, but it has been said it was fixed (a long time ago). Basically, you do NOT have to put being Padawan on hold just because you are swinging normal skills to better support your Jedi grind. What you can NOT change is your FS skills once you are Initiate. That is, once you are working on your Padawan Trials and have your 6 (or more) FS skill trees, you will become Initiate toward the end. Once you hit Initiate you can NOT drop your FS skills without FIRST dropping Initiate. If you drop Initiate, you will have to do the trials over. Once you become Padawan, same thing. Now that FS skills seem to actually effect Jedi as well, you -might- want to be careful about what skills you take. For those that already took things they don't want, you have to decide if it's worth waiting another shifting of the village to try and redo that skill.. ALSO, unlocking a tree is NOT the same as "training" in that tree.. you can unlock everything and still only learn 6 branches.. if you really wanted to.. I dropped Ranged Accuracy (and wasted my first village phase) cause it's not something I plan on using. I took it to have a learned branch for Jedi, but decided not to persue Jedi with that Char. I only lost 3 wks and some xp, nothing else (no skill points, etc).
Second, as far as doing the wrong quest.. Do you people not READ? Just because someone has a guide doesn't mean you should act stricltly on what you see here. Talk to the IN GAME NPCs. READ what it is they have to say.. Granted, I've not done the "luck/survey" quest, but I'd venture a hefty bet that the text from the NPCs make it fairly clear as to what they train. The Melee Speed guy said something like "I can teach you how to use melee attacks at an accelrated rate" or something. Take some responsibility for your actions.. don't just click on buttons without -reading- what you are clicking.. make sure you -know- what you are doing cause if you hose it up you pretty much have no one to blame but yourself. While I feel badly that you wasted this phase of the village on a skill you don't want, you can 'still' work up that line and have 6 unlocks and a Jedi. If you want the specific skills you think make a "better Jedi", then you will have to wait the extra time for the village to come back to that phase.. EDIT: Just kinda got a better feel for what was meant by unlocking something different.. I understand that it's the same trainer.. but if there was a different skill you needed, then you should have looked around for it.. Noting the guide is wrong is wonderful (and I appologise if my point 2 offends anyone), but some people are also not checking what they do. Point 2 is more for them.. The guide being innacurate is kinda stinky as far as laying out your path.. but until all 4 phases pass, we won't know for sure what is what.. Let's just hope things don't change every phase to "keep us on our toes"..
Though, this is the 'exact' reason I think they should change this system just a tad.. I think we should be able to do all the quests when ever we want to. Or at least all 4 for any given phase (if they really want to keep it slowed that way).. BUT, only let us train ONE BOX each week. That would actually extend the overall time to get all 24 boxes, but it would REALLY be nice for laying out/changing your template with minimal grief. It would also prevent us from unlocking on day one, and having the tree filled on day 6, then sitting for 15 days doing nothing. Each week we would be able to get new skills and in smaller steps.

Don't know if someone else already said this here, but if there actually is a cap on FS XP it's above 1.2 Mill, cause that's the amount I had with only combat porwess novice (0000).
So some info is incorrect please edit

Awesome guide guess I'm gonna have to get glowing if I want those fs skills. So how long do you think it would take to do all the themeparks and warren and such, get 6 trees, and do the trails to get padawan?

BTW, I haven't forgotten about this guide...
I've done all the Phase 2 quests except for the Crafting one (which I should hopefully be able to get into after tomorrow's hotfix), I just have to write it up and post it. However, Jedi-related business is taking all my time and effort at the moment. As soon as I get a free chance I'll be updating it...
PS. No need to bump, this post is linked in the pinned post: "New Jedi Archive"

Phase 3 medic/survey gift is incorrect, you get another inoranic survey tool, not a organic survey tool
