Fully agree with the original poster and this sentiment.

SOE sacrificed the game veterans enjoyed in attempt to attract new players, and make sure that none of the older players had any significant advantage on anyone new (pre-cu pearls notwithstanding, and that was probably an oversight). Every item, every piece of armor, every stash of exceptional components or resources (or the items theywent in)from pre-cu went through a conversion processto make sure they are now comparitively worthless.

Older players have a few more credits, that's all.

Most of the people I enjoyed doing things with are gone, the crafters are gone, the economy is going, and so are most ofthe remaining veteransthat are left.

I will be joining them with my 2 accts.

Thanks for the feedback.

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

They do?
Their onlyuseful ability atm is powerboost.
The rest is either broken or redundant due to external issues.

Whether power boost is even useful could be debated, I would say their only useful skills are passive armor, (which can be armor broken to nothing, can be debated) and CoB, which other melee professions get.

I canceled the first time after the CU because I had been TKM since launch, I was the third TKM on my server (a day behind the first two) and they had utterly ruined my profession. The only reason I renewed was to see how Jedi were post CU on my own account.

Power boost adds +500 health, when it used to add a percentage of your mind to all three pools it was MUCH more useful. +500 health is less than one special attack in PvP from a good weapon fired by a character of equal level.

Oh it's happening.

You know the Devs wouldn't call a meeting over a Publish just because some of us were upset.

They're gonna be the ones shafted over this mistake.

I would say their passive armor is one of the greater reasons to their undoing, all thanks to the available slices for regular armor. Unfortunally TKA (who are supposed to be Defense (5) mind you) end up a lesser alternative in damage mitigation.

Dizzy (their attack) gives -75 defense. When all recalculated, thoose -75 means uhm. Nothing, and even if it did it can be countered while many other great new states cannot.
Woundsbuilds up very slow now, creatures rarely disease or poison, and disease do not cause wounds anymore. Actually Disease isanother of thoose states that means nothing. So why spending pointson Meditate?

Then we have Taunt, that barely work, becouse the hate system gets the creature to attack whoever do the strongest damage/greatest heal anyway.

It can be argued what use Knockdown is theese days, especially in pve... but all things considered, Pikeman+Swordman is a better choice than TKM+Swordman, and Pikeman do have a better Knockdown than TKA, and at least regular Center of Being...

Fencer... same story.

Now if we could just get the Developers to read posts like these and realize that the majority of the player base agrees with this too.

Let's get AWAY from the GRINDING and back to the GAMING.

Excellent post MsNiL, and I agree. I alos love the SWG universe, and believe that this product can be the absolute best on the market, but it has been relegated to group of managers who are just milking the cow, without actually wanting to take care of it.

With that in mind, I made a post on the general forum, that shows the Sony customer service charter. Sony, not SOE. Because the mangers of SOE do not want to listen, I am thinking it is time to go over their heads, and go to the parent corporation to let them know that SOE is dammaging their profits and reputation by mismanaging a great product. Perhaps pressure from above (if Sony listens at all) will get some movement on these issues, and bring pressure, if not pink slips, to the management at SOE.

Great post!! Expressed exactly how I see things in this game. I've been playing since beta and have yet see the devs address any of the REAL problems. SoE should have to refund everyone their money for the last few years.

As for you Devs and ppl in charge of SoE/SWG here's one for ya..../rude

your absolutely right, its clear to see that SOE does not care much about us, our money goes to EQ2 probably,

It is rumoured - and, of course, all rumours are false - that LA gave SOE $70 million to develop the SWG game. During the development process, SOE also began developing EQ2 which seemed to them to be the more commercial proposition. It is said - I am sure wrongly - that SOE used some of the money given to them to purchase servers for SWG to buy servers for EQ2. This is why that Bria, for example, is still on the same slow, cranky server on which the game was originally tested during Beta.
