So this quest was designed for multiple 80th level combat classes with aid from JEDI? And who thought of this non-sense?

How is this in anyway fair to a solo player on his path to JEDI? Do they really think I can get multiple players to stop what they are doing and wait 2 to 6 hours for me to get my mission? Most of my friends are professionals who enjoy this game but have to "place" time aside to play.

I understand making the mission hard but even without the Buggy turrets (from hell)we still have to wait an unreasonable time of 2 hours....minimum. This creates camping- that leads to camp stealing- that leads to harassment reports- that leads to ranting on this thread..... it goes on.

I’ve done 5 other village quests, some of them hard but not like this.

Something has to be done and a fix in next months patch is too little too late...... I think it should be compensation for wasting your and my time.

The difficulty isn't really a problem. My nephew (level 80 TKA/swords) and I (level 66 doctor/misc) were able to raid the base by ourselves and capture the commander very easily. The turrets die so fast they aren't really a problem.

The major issue is escorting the commander. People say to do the 3 closest bases, but we did the 3rd closest, and it's impossible to complete it from even that one. There's 1 (or 2 if you go straight) canyons between it and the village. He wont go up canyon walls and by the time we found a way through, he died.

He either needs to run, and have some terrain negotiation, or he needs the poison timer taken completely away. It's rediculous right now. Only 2 of the 25 bases are doable and 1 of them is still a gamble.

The Sith Pirates aim for vehicles (so don't use your BARC's, AV21's or anything you don't want to replace!).

BARC's can be repaired even after being disabled!! And you shouldn't be using an AV-21 on an adventure planet anyways. Change that to 'carry some spare deeds if you're going to be out and about on Dathomir'!

But that is the situationon Ahazi, large packs of mobs all over the place.

Multi-Player is what brings the SWG world alive (real people, other players, make SWG so wonderfully dynamic). I just don't treat SWG like it was a chat room, I don't play to socialize and I resent forced grouping!"

Is this a joke or what?

There are like 3 bases that you can actually accomplish this mission from without the commander dying. All of which are camped 24/7. I just don't have the time to site and wait 2hrs at a time for my turn and hope some lee7 group of kids doesn't stealthe mission. And that's AFTER you win the loot lottery and get the right remote.

TOTAL GARBAGE.

True.. I was just giving a warning.. I always use my flash speeder on Dath...

Just watched as the Iota camp turned into senseless player drama caused by frustration. Basically we were at Iota and there were of course 3 groups waiting on the spawn. Soon as the turrets went down drama ensued. I won't name names but needless to say Group A (2 guys) took down the turrets Group B (3 guys) used their remote before Group A to lower the shield. Group A and C cleaned out the Sith then stood there wondering who gets to talk to the commander... (GroupA used their remote so they thought they would) Needless to say.. this quest is bringing out the worst in people and is causing frustration with each other and the Dev's....

Though we are frustrated with the bugs and the stealing.. it is far more frustrating to have not heard anything in terms of a hotfix or so much as a single red name saying they are aware of the issue.... here's your shot SOE, prove you give a poop!

We must have spent 6+ hours trying to do this quest. We finally figured out how to beat the exploiting turrets. Was it an exploit?I don't think so, I considered it fair because of all the reasons you listed 1-3. You are exactly correct on those. We had a creature handler with a graul take out the turrets. For some reason they did not target the pet. Just sit back and wait until the pet takes them out. We completed it twice like this from Kappa and Omicron bases. All of the reasons you listed make the mission next to impossible without killing the turrets. Also if a pet doesn't work a jedi will do the trick if you have one to help.

I was with Vegitaa for three spawns of the Iota camp on Ahazi...

First time, didn't get it, no biggy... we were the newest there.

2nd time, didn't get it again, only other older group was Vegitaa's.

3rd time, Vegitaa's group got it, only for it to be bugged and won't spawn a commander... or Sith...

And we aren't taking any damage from any of the mobs around there..

Yup this is unacceptable, to have so many group gather around one base all racing to get the sheild down first. Then the sheild comes down and no sith spawn at all. Very frustrating night of SWG.

A friend and I managed to get the commander 800 meters from the village with approximately 20 mins left on our stop watch and he just fell over dead from the poison. I am pretty sure this guy is supposed to have a one hour timer, so what do the devs plan on doing are the GM's in game going to complete peoples quest that this happens to because, I can sure tell you after tonight and the long walk and all the bickering and commander stealing I see going on at the bases I don' care to go through this if this is what fun is supposed to be. This is the exact type of lack of fore thought that will make me cancel my account. Some where along the line SOE has forgotten that games are supposed to be fun and an escape from the stresses of RL I'll let you figure out the rest of the obvious in this statement. I will pass on a bit of something I took with me after 8 years in the Airforce, and that is the 6 P's Prior, Preperation, Prevents, Piss, Poor, Performance.

1. Make commander run, or
2. Let commander ride in vehicle, or
3. Take away poison, or
4. Make poison 3x length, and make the commander consistent. Dies 3 hours from capture.

This commander walking speed/poison issue is causing horrible behavior. I accidentally stole the commander from another group. Both groups had somehow dropped the shields and each was telling their group capture person GOGOGO. I ran in to help ours with sith inside base adn ran smack into the commander. So I captured him on instinct. Well it could have been worked out by inviting the shield guy from the other group to our group, but two members of his group decided to FLOOD me with vehicle invitations. Resulting in lag so bad taht I couldn't turn back to recapture commander at first hill, and I couldn't communicate with my group, etc. So I had to /quit and relog. So everyone lost.

Turret issues.
They agro within 100m and have 75m range. Sounds reasonable. Make these the limits of their weapons. And don't make agro'ing one base agro all the others. I agro'd a turret, died, cloned, and was attacked by the base near the science outpost (completely different base from teh one where I died.) as soon as I walked out the gate. Fortunately, I found a safe place to hide.....in back of the science outpost. Then I ran in and took ship to Trade Ouptpost. Bug worked around

Our group on Radiant actually got the commander back into the village, inside the village walls. He despawned after one final Sith attack inside the village. We talked to the captain and no one got credit for completing the quest. I submitted a ticket with the net result being the standard "I apologize for the inconvenience." Yep, 5 hours for all of us down the drain.
