Yeah, title does not give you visability, and the point of having that title is exactly the same as having any other title. Why wear the title "colonel"?

Does anyone know how long visablity last, i have been told different durations from a number of players.

3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks and 3 weeks i been told, i would like to know the proper time scale for visabilty.

Supposed to last 3 weeks. That being 21 days, it is my opinionthat your level of visibility goes down by 5% of the highest possible level per 24 hours of server up-time.
