I don't think I'm following you Podi, but I'll clarify the "there's no dropping the skill" comment and maybe that will help.

You only need 6 branches of FS skills to begin your Padawan trials. Not sure why you'd train all 16 branches.

Once you achieve Padawan, you can't turn back. You can't surrender the Padawan box, therefore, you can't surrender any FS skills once you get to that point. So, make sure they are things you really want.

I have no clue what you mean by village skills overiding the skills you learn in trials though, sorry. Hope I helped some anyway.

And Coxbone, I wasn't flaming you for goodness sakes. I didn't tell you to stop complaining either. I was trying to lightenthings up, show you the bright side...ie: show you that it could be worse, and hope that you wouldn't feel so badly for getting "only" 4. Apparently you don't want to see that, so that's fine. I tried.

Well it is kind of a problem. I am Master CH , Master Brawler, and Master Swordsman. That left me with 4 free points. So to get all my stuff, I had to drop some of my brawler (which sucks because Lunge2 rules), So now I will only be left with MCH, Master Sword and I might as well drop the rest of brawler except Sword because its pointless to have that stuff if I cant have enough points to keep Master Brawler when this is all said and done.

Did they not think of this ? If CH didn't take up so many points, it wouldn't have been an issue, but i've lost some strength skills in my main char just to jump through hoops to unlock a character that wont effect my main. Doesn't seem that well thought out if you ask me. Atleast with JTL they don't take points away for being a pilot. Now fix this Padawan crap while your at it.

Thanks for writing thia guide Ithiris, its been a great help : )

When you have time for another update, I'd like to suggest a couple of changes.

In the second part of phase information, luck and survey are reversed.

Eozlin gives the survey missions.

The reward is an inorganic survey tool.

Thanks again

Thanks for the great guide. I made a real noob mistake by taking the crafting quest instead of combat quest for my commando. I did complete the crafting quest thinking that in phase 2 I colud take a different quest. I completed the crafting quest 5 days ago just before phase 2.

When I go to get combat quest or anyother quest I am told that thanks for the work done or to come back later when Im not so busy. I did not convert any Xp toward aquiring a skill (dont have any except for the 120 i got doing quest).

Do I need to aquire a skill in order to be able to procede to another NPC and start a new quest? most of what I have read says that I should be able to do that. Is it possible that I need to wait 3 weeks from when I finished the first quest to procede?

Please help

Lol possibly my bad writing

Ok what i ment is...

When your doing the village you are grinding out xp converting to fsxp then learning the fs skills from the chars in the village.

Im going for reflex and combat prowess tree cos it will help my tkm character.

However once i get the 6 trees i need, and get jedi initiate. Will I...

a Have to use the new charater slot opened for jedi (will this character automatically be a jedi initiate?)

b Be able to use my current character, the one with the 6 fs boxes for a jedi?

What i ment by the overiting skills bit is, if i can use my current char for jeid, and i do, then will my 6 boxes have any effect on the abilities of my jedi?

Or do these abilites become irrelevant as i learn jedi skills.

If they become irrelevant do i get the skill points back or is that then those skill points lost for ever?

Hope this is a bit more clear lol

Excellent that really helps thanks, one thing you didnt answer though was..

The skill points taken up to learn the 6 trees do they get deducted from the total usable for jedi?

ie if i fill 6 trees will i have more skill points availiabel for jedi than if i filled 10 trees?

Oh, no, there's no deduction for Jedi, they're restricted by the same amount of skill points as everyone else. I believe it costs 30 pts to acheive Padawan. You can still keep your other professions of course, up until you decide if you need/want to drop them to allow to train more Jedi skills. But the allowed sp stays the same.

So to answer your question specifically, 10 branches would cost you more skill points than 6 branches, yes. If you want your main to be Jedi, I don't suggest getting more than the required 6 branches. It will only take precious sp from you, that you'll definately need later if you want to become more powerful as a Jedi character.

Ah i see, that makes some sense now.

Bit of a bummer that you are stuck with that fs sp lost (hardly makes going via doc or crafter worth anything at all)

But anyway, thanks for the help and again excellent guide

Craft Lightsaber Trial: Thanks to your progress thus far, you have been granted the rank of Jedi Initiate. With this honor comes the ability to craft your first lightsaber. Such is your next task... to craft yourself a lightsaber. Craft one to complete the Trial, this is the final Trial, and once complete, you are a Jedi Padawan. You will need a single force crystal to tune to complete this Trial.

sorry, if this has already been addressed, however, crafting your first lightsaber is not necessarily the end of the Padawan Trials. I got this trial as number 6 and completed it and still am being given trials to complete and I am not a Padawan yet. This trial is just one you must do but it is not the last.

does this mean that you can use the lightsaber before finishing the trials?

Also while i mention this, can a lightsaber be used before you are able to craft them?
