I've looted 2 from the force crystal hunters in the POI on dant, but the drop rate for anything is pretty slow.

while at the force crystal hunters cave i got a +9 dbl ls speed ca and some holos too

before the last publish the 1 in 30 at the force crystal cave was about right since the publish now that they have added the garbage loot, i've looted one holocron in about 3 hrs of cave time.

I recently took my alternate character to see the female NPC in the cave behind the waterfall atthe Ruined Jedi Temple. I did a couple missions and got myself a blue/square holocron as a reward. I cannot drop this holocron in my house, or trade it to anyone.
I cannot go and get the same holocron with my jedi character. A long time ago I was mis-informed about which NPC to talk to and ended up talking to themale NPCoutside of the Ruined Jedi Temple. When I tried to first mission for him I was unable to kill the Untrained Padawan Rebel because I am a Rebel. This was before I became force-sensitive. Yesterday I went to the records keeper at the Dantooine Mining Outpost and reset my character. I went back out to the female NPC in the cave behind the waterfall at the Ruined Jedi Temple and she told me she was honored to be in my pressence but did not give me any missions.
Am I unable to get the blue/square holocron for my jedi?
On a side note:
I also spent a few hours in the Force Crystal Hunters cave and only received low-level loot, if any.

Those blue/sith holocrons from Jedi Temple in Dantooine were for old jedi path, i don't think that you can get it again.

So you are saying I should have attempted to get the holocron with my jedi character and not my alternate? (Meaning one holocron per server regardless of character.)
I need one badly, my force runs out too quickly.

As i remember correctly, that was a holocron which told you one of the professions you had to learn to unlock Jedi (old jedi -unlock system) ..
