I think what you mean is that, when the hologrind was going on and if you mastered one of yourHolo proffessions you would get a free unlock and enough xp to fill the tree

You had to complete more then two of your required skills (i believe i read you needed 8 total) to be Jedi. Four of those skills were silent. The free unlocks were then calculated. Number-of-Professions-Required-Completed MINUS 2. So if you only did one or two of your required professions in the old system, There were no free unlocks. I did two holos before getting a silent one. I had mastered 16 of the total professions. I received 3 free unlocks. The same for a friend of mine that actually did 5 holos, getting his silent on the fifth holo. He had mastered 20 or 21 of the total professoins and received 3 free unlocks.

I was curious what they would do myself. Lately, I had looted about 20 holos. Figured I could use one to see. It hummed for a while, then did nothing. They're now only usable by jedi.

Holocrons can be used by Jedi to completely heal their Force pool.


In other words, think of the Force pool to be just like your Health, Action, or Mind pools.


It works like a damage stim to your Force pool and is then consumed and gone.


Helps get Jedis out of a pinch, or to keep you going during really long battles (Jedi's weakest link is their Force pool...when it's depleted, and your opponent is still kicking, your options are limited and you either run or you're unable to do anything and wait to die).

I got a few from Surface Marshals doing large rebel base missions on Naboo, then I just decided to use my AT-ST and do Janta missions for money and buy holocrons instead.





Tip to LEC/SOE: Sci-Fi MMO players don't necessarily belong to the same resource pool as fantasy MMO players.

If you mastered 4 holocrons on a character, deleted, and recreated, does it still count towards new player?

That depends on the economy of your server. On Ahazi they go for around 150k to 250k a piece.

There is no change that SOE could make that would not cause people to protest. Whether they are nerfing the overpowered or giving love to the under developed, whether the change is small, or far reaching, someone somewhere will complain, protest, call it a 'slap in the face' and start a petition.
