Hello, I am coming back to the game after being out for quite a while... anyway when i quit i had grinded through quite a few professions and my holocron was 'silent'. Well I have been reading the force sensitive forums and I read about the "free unlocks" that you get if you had mastered professions that you needed to unlock for your force sensitive slot. I read that there was 8 professions you needed to master to unlock your slot and you get a free unlock for each profession you mastered over 2. Well since my holo was silent doesn't this mean I should have mastered 7 professions meaning I would have 5 free unlocks? If so does this mean I only need to go through 1 phase instead of 6 phases in the village?

I don't think you will find that you're going to have 5 free unlocks. I had unlocked about 9 professions pre-jedi upgrade and only had 2 free unlocks available to me when I spoke with Paemos. Easiest way to find out is to talk with him once you have access to the village and there should be an option where he will tell you how many free unlocks you may have.

You may not have to go thru 6 phases but I doubt you will be luck enough to make it thru in only one.

You get a free unlock for each of your 'hidden' professions you mastered during the hologrind days. Any toon that mastered its 'hiden' profession gets one unlock per profession. Its uiniversal, not a one per account deal. Thats if you did any of your 'hidden' professions back in the day.

If you unlocked Jedi, I would say that you already got any free unlocks you were due, eh?

The whole idea is that those who holgrinded and hit one or more of their hidden "unlock" professions but did not unlock Jedi pre pub 9 get credit for it with unlocked FS lines.

when 9 hit jedi were allowed to pick 24 FS boxes and master as many normal prof boxes as they had room for as jedi in order to put them on the same level as those who unlocked post 10.

If you did not do any holocron professions you do not get free unlocks...this includes mastering random professions today, if you just master randoms today, no free unlocks for joo

I did some hologrinding long ago and resigned up resently.

I took one of the quests in the village to get the melee speed, but when I look at the guy I train with, he shows me getting xp in all the combat branches.

I haven't trained anything but the novice box, I really don't understand how the free unlocks work. Or if I'm even entitled to one.

When I left, I had some status on the /check. When I came back, I had none.

So I just ran the poi and quests to get glowy.

Any additional info on the free unlocks for past hologrinders would be great. Even if it doesn't apply to me.

Ok, when you get to the guy who converts exp, there is a selection for "What skills can I unlock" he will say Melee speed, or Melee Defense, or whatever, if you have free unlocks he will also put there what those are. I think the system is bugged though, as I grinded 3 holo professions pre CU, never got the free unlocks since I went glowie last week.

The exp being listed in all 4 branches is just a short coming of the UI, if you were to actually train in any of the boxes you DO NOT have unlocked it would just error saying you are not eligable to train this box yet.
