Thread: How do you deal with those turrets?

Yeah, the turrets are easy. They only have 10k Health. Just make sure you get close enough to attack them once the shield is brought down, then hit them hard. Its best to hit them both at the same time, so bring at least 4 people of CL80 who can survive long enough to take them down.

It seems that if you are outside their normal range, they attack much faster AND you can't fight back. Get within your weapons range and take them hard and fast.

Then deal with the Sith that come running. Then take down the gate followed by the inner turret.

I've also noticed that, if you wait before "capturing" the commander the first time, the Sith that park outside the base entrance will despawn. Then you can capture him and lead him out without having to deal with those Sith.

Of course, this mission is so bugged that there are absolutely NO guarantees.....

No guarantees, indeed! Have heard so many different spawn rates with similar sized groups and soloers.

Approach the bases with real caution. I have seen a lot of people this weekend come cruising in on their speeder of choice and get dropped very quickly, along with their ride. Don't assume speeding in and slowing down at 100m is far enough or you might be sad when you find one of the nasty bugged turrets has spawned there. I am very deliberate now when first checking turrets distances and have a healing macro already running and finger on the down key to retreat the second I first get hit. Doesn't help that you don't hear any audio for getting hit most times.

You can also take down the turrets before you lower the shields, which gives you more time to escort. I have now seen probot and r2 combat droids take out turrets with no damage to themselves. They will also move through the front gate and take out the inside turret before the shields or the gate are down. It takes a few times sending them in though, as they warp back to the owner after doing a few attacks.

Riflemen can yes. Sorry, I meant to also mention that method. Have seen them do it with easy too, but only when they got lucky enough to not get a bugged long-distance turret. I can't say at what max distance can be. Least distance from an active turret I've been able to get before getting hit was 60m, but have also had 90m turrets and the odd 'deathstar' turret that can seemingly hit anywhere on the planet!

Good luck!

I used a probot and got as close to the shield as I could so I didn't have to keep re-sending it. I used the probot to drop all three turrets, then dropped the shield and used the probot to pull the sith one at a time. Once I had 5 I burstrunned in, captured commander, burstrran back out. Stayed 40-50m ahead of him for the whole 3500m trip and finished with 15 minutes to spare.

This is what we did. It was brilliant. The probots took out the turrets, and the turrets never fired back at them. We had a group, so we just engaged the Sith head on. Not one casualty, not even a probot.
