The route between Science Outpost and The Village is usually a good place to look for both NS and SMC NPCs of all flavors

i want to tac another question on to this one, what about the double crystals? is it the same places/npc's and i'm just not having any luck? or is there a better place to find these? i haven't found one since before cu and theywere poor quality.

I don't think the double crystals drop anymore at all. At one time they were required for a dual blade saber, but I believe that requirementwas dropped in pub 9.

I looted a bunch of them off of various low level NPCs (meatlumps, ragtags) pre-pub 9 and they are universally poor in quality.

canyon corsairs drop clears in a abput 1:2 ratioto colors. i got a looooot of both this weekend. havent gotten them graded but theyre probably poor or fairs.

i have had a lot of luck with the Singing Mountain Clan Dragoons, theyre very nice for looting "good" crystals.

Looted alot of colors on Tusk.

oh, and thanks for the info no the doubles, i'm brand new to jedi and didn't even try to put a regular crystal in the double saber. that makes my day alot better, haha.

@ CL 30+, Canyon Corsairs/Tuskens drop 'fair' or 'good' crystals, whether you get missions or just take down whatever's around.

Apparently, and this is not certain, high-level Rebel and Imperial mobs (CL 76+) can on rare occasionsdrop Krayt Pearls/Tissues/Scales. If this wasn't a deliberate change by the developers, it's an indication of just how badly the loot tables need to be fixed and revamped.

Below @ CL 30, Meatlumps/Ragtags/other humanoidsdrop 'poor' crystals. Generally.

To be honest, both 'fair' and 'good' crystals seem to have the same chance of tuning average. Even 'good' Krayt Pearls tend to tune in the same average range. If there's an adjustment that's supposed to make 'good' tune better than 'fair', I'm not seeing it.

Even the 'quality' crystals you can get from CL 100+ mobs don't seem to tune noticeably better than 'good' crystals.

to loot a fair ammount of "good" crystals try the singing mountain clan vs nightsiter battle poi on dath and kill the smc arch witch for the clears.

for colours go to fort tuskan on tat or go to the canyon corsairs poi on lok, (some times, very rarely drop jedi ca's too but like i said, very rare loot drop from them)

dark jedi knights or dark jedi masters around dath and dantooine still drop "goods" but take a friend
