Whatever group you find yourself in, you want to ideally be fighting against mobs that are lvl 80-81 in order to maximize your xp. All you need is one hit on the mob and you get full credit. As lvl 18 you aren't going to have as high a cap of xp as the higher levels but as long as your group can move along fairly quickly you'll have no problem leveling up. May I suggest going up the armor break line first, that will only help your group kill the mobs faster and facilitate your leveling.
