The root cause has been Double XP.
Kill a bol get 14k when you convert the xp in to FS XP you get 466 now times that by 2 because of double XP.
Because of double XP FS grinders really got 4x XP double for the bol and double when converting.
SOE screwed up BIG TIME and they only way they thing they can fix this is to make conversions 10x times more.
They are also working on a group XP system that will divide the about of XP by the number of people in your group.
Kill a 6k BOL with a group of 8 people you get 750 weapons XP or 25 FS XP.
I've seen drunken Microsoft Programers invent better fixes then this. Also Vole knows when it's time to stop beating a dead horse

True but I don't want to see adds for Pepsi or a New Star Wars game(or anything Sony) While walking through Theed!

They have been doing this in Anarchy Online for awhile. Hell, their core game is even completely free now... :-P

Wake up genius's, you said it yourself, there ARE other professions besides Jedi or FS. COMBAT professions that got nerfed to hell as well. What are they supposed to do? Jedi or MBH, or Master carniner, I'm not gonna grind like that for anything. It is astounding the level of intentional stupidity that is displayed in this thread! Is logical thought a lost art here? NO, IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF THE DAMN GRENADE THROWERS!! If that had been the reasons for the conversion change, they would have changed grenade's XP, not everyone elses. The reason for the conversion was that some ding-bat at SOE figures that we are all morons, and that they can sneek in something like the conversion change and we wouldn't notice it. That way, we have to play longer, pay longer, and instead of blaming SOE, we'd blame each other.
What you, my thought challenhed friend, need to do is regain consciousness and never ASSUME things about people that you don't know. I have NEVER ONCE thrown a grenade. Period. So even if you were correct about the cause of the change, it couldn"t be my fault. Don't fall for the SOE trick and accuse other players for SOE's mistake. They also ASSUME. The assume that grind equals content. They're wrong.

. To those that say the profession grinding lead to people having more knowledge about the game I remember that most did macro grinding anyway. At the height of the prefession grind most crafters didnt know there craft and dropped master as soon as they got it, me I tended to obsessively get into professions. I still remember from being a weaponsmith for a month over 18 months ago that you need polonium iron for a T21 (how sad it that :smileyvery-happy
